This game spells out thirteen steps to using a condom correctly.
From sex education in previous classes or from our culture, many students already know about condoms and that they should be using them for protection. For many youth, condoms are the only barriers they use for disease and unwanted pregnancies. Condoms are often thought to be unreliable, but the failure rate of a condom is very low if used correctly. Using a condom the right way is just as important as using one.
Included: 13 cards with a step on each card.
Concept: Students receive a card and, as a group, they will organize themselves in a line from start to finish with the thirteen steps to getting a condom on the right way; if the students have found the right order of the cards, there is a hidden message in the cards. 13 students participate and the remaining class observes, guides, and discusses.
Duration: 20 minutes + discussion
Level: Grade 9-10
All playing pieces in kit are laminated so the game can be enjoyed by students over and over again.
